The Permaculture Association of WA has formed a northern suburbs permaculture group who have named themselves the 'Northern A.P.E's' - APE's stands for Active Permaculture Enthusiasts and the group is aimed around being 'Active' in it's approach.

The group meets once a month at different members homes and will either be taking a site tour and talk, a seed saving or similar skills sharing session, a special interest speaker or we might be implementing a permaculture project/design element in someone's yard.
Currently we are meeting the 2nd Sunday of each month 2-4pm but this can changed to suit members and activities as required. With an obvious local focus, the group is open to anyone who is interested in permaculture and sustainability; beginners are extra welcome,  who live in the northern suburbs of Perth.

Its a big catchment ,we have members from Vic Park, north to Mindarie across in Banksia Grove and even Ellenbrooke. So there is normally someone in the group who is closer to you and that gives you a peer to start some more local gardening/support with.

If you'd like to join the Northern APE's then drop us an email at Or call Charles Otway on 0466633275.
