 and recovery
DESCRIPTION:\n\n\nVenue: Online via Zoom\nBookings: Humanitix\n\n\n\nCome a
 nd hear this interactive discussion presented by our very own convenor and
  permaculture teacher\, Dominique Chanovre.\n\nIn this presentation\, Domi
 nique will discuss how permaculture can analyse disaster risks for sites a
 nd regions and for mitigating and recovering from disasters.\n\nThere will
  be time for Q&amp\;A. This is another opportunity for knowledge sharing a
 nd supporting one another in our WA community and Australia.\n\nAbout Domi
 nique\n\nI completed my PDC in 2009\, worked as Perth City Farm – Farm S
 upervisor for 2 years\, travelled abroad to see other Permaculture project
 s in SE Asia and Fiji\, started my landscaping and Permaculture consultanc
 y business\, worked for several NGOs\, still following the permaculture et
 hics of earth care and people care\, by protecting WA forests as a forest 
 activist with WAFA\, then starting a soup kitchen for homeless people in P
 erth with Food not Bombs.\n\nI then worked with The Forever Project and th
 e Water Corp as a Waterwise consultant\, and then as a Firewise Project Of
 ficer while studying for my Masters degree in Disasters\, Design and Devel
 opment at RMIT.\n\nI have just completed my Master Tree Growers course wit
 h Rowan Reid and Julian Sharpe down in Bridgetown. I currently volunteer a
 t the Jandakot Bushfire Brigade and have started another soup kitchen at t
 he Buffalo Club in Fremantle for community folk in need. When I have time 
 I volunteer at my local community gardens and potter around the house.\n\n
